My well-worn leather coat was showing its age with scratches and colour fade that made it look old and tired. I’m a handy guy and like saving money, so I investigated what it would take to restore the coat myself. By the time I bought enough leather deglazer, dye, resolene, sponges and applicators, I would have spent about $120 on materials alone. There were also enough warnings (and horror stories) online about how leather restoration is an art-form and how easily an amateur can ruin their garment. So, I looked into professional restoration services and came across LoveYourLeather.ca I contacted them asking for a quote and provided pictures of my coat. I heard back from Tony and Karen the same day and got a quote of $135 plus taxes. The reviews were good, so I decided to go for it. The price included free pick up and delivery between their facility in Toronto and my home in Ottawa, since my address fell under their catchment area. The coat was picked up the week I contacted them and delivered 2 weeks later. The pictures below speak for themselves. This was definitely worth the money. Thanks to Tony, Karen, and all the folks at LoveYourLeather!!
